Available Roles

Educational Leader

Samford OSHC is seeking an educational leader who has experience and relevant qualifications. The Educational Leader will work closely with the Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator to create and oversee a program centred around children’s interest. This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week, non-contact time is given Monday-Friday during school hours. Applicants should be available to work a range of shifts between the hours of 6:30am-6:15pm.

The Opportunity: Educational Leader

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 days per week
  • Location: Samford Village 
  • Hours: Up to 38 hours with flexibility

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Assist educators to develop their knowledge and understanding of the My Time Our Place learning framework through mentoring.  
  • Support a collaborative planning process for the ongoing development and delivery of Samford OSHC’s program. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MTOP (My Time, Our Place) and NQS (National Quality Standards).
  • Engage in continuous professional and personal development.
  • Lead the critical evaluation of the program through reflection, reviewing documentation. 

Qualifications & experience

  • Holds or currently studying qualifications in childcare, outside school hours care, education etc.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, with at least 1 years in the childcare industry.
  • Hold a current Blue Card.
  • Hold a First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications or Willingness to immediately undertake appropriate training in her/his own expense.

OSHC Educator

As an OSHC Educator, your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Create a positive and stimulating environment to support children’s development;
  • Communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis;
  • Support our Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator and Educational Leader in the effective and efficient operation of the service as well as assisting in the development of the educational program using the My Time Our Place learning framework;
  • Complete paperwork pertaining to individual roles.

$/hr depending on experience and qualifications as per the Parents and Citizens Associations Award – State 2016.  At Samford OSHC we pay above award rates.
